Nurture & Nourish: A Winter Retreat
Saturday, February 21,, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Wolfeboro, NH
Cozy up for a winter reset with Shelley Snodgrass Robinson Yoga & Art and Wendy Hills of Roots & Roses.
Enjoy slow flow and restorative yoga, explore how seasonal, whole food, plant-based meals support energy and winter wellness, and savor nourishing WFPB meals. A few special touches will make the day even more restorative.
Leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and deeply nourished — your body and spirit will thank you.
Wrap yourself in warmth this winter and join Shelley Snodgrass Robinson Yoga & Art and Wendy Hills of Roots & Roses for a cozy, day-long retreat designed to nourish your body, lift your spirit, and bring you back home to yourself.
We’ll gather from 9am–4pm in a house that feels like stepping back in time — a lovingly preserved 1915 home still held by the original Huggins family. The moment you walk through the door, you can feel the history, the stories, and the quiet charm of a place rooted in care. It’s the perfect backdrop for a winter day of slowing down, reconnecting, and filling your cup.
Our morning begins with a gentle, grounding flow yoga practice led by Shelley — accessible movement that warms the body and invites ease into the breath. Think soft light, cozy blankets, and plenty of space to settle in.
Wrap Yourself in Warmth
Throughout the day, you’ll enjoy seasonal WFPB snacks and a hearty, nourishing lunch, all crafted to support restoration, energy, and natural immunity during the heart of winter. You’ll also build your own spice kit, while Wendy shares simple, seasonal ways to use food as a source of comfort and balance during February’s colder days.
At some point in the afternoon, we’ll shift into a thoughtful creative project — a gentle, meaningful art experience such as a mandala that allows you to slow down, express yourself, and tap into the quiet wisdom that winter invites.
As the day winds down, we’ll close with restorative yoga, giving your body and mind the chance to settle, release, and soften before heading home — a peaceful, grounding way to seal your experience.
Your day will include:
Slow Flow & Restorative Yoga – Guided movement to open the body and release winter tension, followed by deep rest to settle your nervous system.
Warming Winter Foods Workshop – A hands-on talk and tasting exploring how whole food, plant-based meals can bring balance, warmth, and vitality during the colder months.
Seasonal WFPB Meals by Roots & Roses – Every dish is thoughtfully prepared to nourish and comfort — from your morning tonic to a vibrant midday meal and afternoon bites.
Creative & Reflective Moments – Gentle opportunities for journaling, connection, and quiet time to reflect on the year ahead.
Come as you are — leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and nourished from the inside out.

About Shelley
Yoga has been a part of Shelley Snodgrass Robinson’s life for many years, but it truly became a lifelong practice in 2011 when she committed to vinyasa classes and discovered how deeply grounding it could be. For Shelley, yoga provides balance, awareness, and a blend of challenge and contemplation that supports her both physically and emotionally.
She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2016 through Boston Yoga School, along with additional Yin Yoga and mindfulness trainings. These teachings continue to shape her approach on and off the mat.
As a yoga teacher, Shelley’s intention is to hold space where students can explore balance, move with purpose, and honor their own intentions through both movement and stillness.
