Sweet Creations: Plant-Based Dessert Workshop

Join Wendy, owner of Roots & Roses, for a hands-on, plant-based dessert workshop at Waterville Valley Park & Rec on October 17, 2025, beginning at 5:30pm! This 2.5-hour class, limited to 12 participants, will guide you through creating a variety of delicious desserts from start to finish. You’ll receive step-by-step visual instruction, recipes, tips for perfecting each treat, and the opportunity to make your own desserts to take home. All ingredients are included.
During the class, we’ll make:
Date Bark – a naturally sweet, chocolatey treat
Breakfast Cookies – wholesome and satisfying
Fig Newtons – a classic reimagined with plant-based ingredients
Specialty Cookie or Bar– a seasonal surprise to delight your taste buds
Because we’ll be together through dinnertime, we encourage you to bring a light snack to enjoy during the class. Roots & Roses will also bring something to share, so we can all keep our energy up while baking together.
Whether you’re a seasoned baker or just curious, this workshop offers a fun, relaxed, hands-on experience with plenty of guidance and inspiration. Walk away with new skills, tasty creations, and a renewed appreciation for plant-based desserts!

About Your Instructor
Wendy, the heart behind Roots & Roses. I’m a certified plant-based nutrition specialist and personal chef with a passion for showing how simple and joyful plant-based cooking can be. Through workshops, classes, and community events, I love helping people feel confident in the kitchen while discovering just how delicious and nourishing real food can be.
When you join a class, expect hands-on learning, plenty of tips, and lots of tasting. My goal is always to make food fun, approachable, and something that connects us all.
